Having a 4" bath step to assist you with climbing in and out of your bath or shower can dramatically improve the safety and convenience for the user. A bath step creates a level stepping surface from outside of the bath to the base of the bath floor itself. Without a bath step the user will find that they are stepping in to the bath from a low to a higher platform, which means alternatively when stepping out of the bath, they will be stepping from a higher level to a lower level of about 4".
